Mortality Bridge Limited Edition Sold Out

I just learned that the signed, limited hardcover edition of Mortality Bridge has sold out at Subterranean Press. Thanks so much to everyone who bought one.

And if you’ve been thinking about getting one, now’s the time! Subterranean’s books tend to quickly become quite collectible, which is fancy-talk for “it’ll cost ya to get hold of one after they sell out.” Amazon still has copies listed for sale at this writing.

I’m working on contracts, cover design, typography, etc., for the e-book & softcover throughout the week, and I should be able to give a publication date soon. More than likely it will be out before the end of the year, though, which is nice.

UPDATE: The e-book and large-format paperback are now available.  (Woo-hoo!) Please see here for more info — and thanks for your support!.

  1. I haaaaaate being too broke to justify spending money on shiny new books. Haaaaaaate it.

I’ll just have to add it to the list of “things I’ll buy when I have money again.” (Will the ebook be on the iPad? I might at least have enough iTunes-gift-card-ness left to get it then…)

    1. I swear, some people would rather eat than demonstrate unswerving loyalty to their friends. Well, go ahead — stay alive with your stinky ol’ priorities.

It’ll be in MobiPocket (Kindle) and ePub (Nook & most others) formats.

  2. Will the paperback also be out from Subterranean, or are they only handling the limited-edition version? (Cory Doctorow highly recommended your book to me at Worldcon; I’m trying to figure out who to start bug for a review copy when it’s widely available.)

    1. Tasha–
Thanks for asking, and bless Cory’s heart! Subterranean is not handling the paperback or ebook. I’ve emailed you separately about an advance reading copy from the publisher.

  3. Okay, you talked me into it: just ordered my hardcover Mortality Bridge from Booksamillion.com; especially since I missed getting your signature in Montreal at WorldCon — I got Cory’s there though; he’s everywhere right now.

      1. Received my palindromic #585 (of 750) copy yesterday. Only read the dust jacket so far. The signed and numbered thing made me look for a registry of limited editions — seems like a social media marketplace opportunity: all the people who covet a limited edition painting or particular book.

        1. It just occurred to me that someone is gonna get (or has gotten) copy #666, which for a book about someone’s trip to hell, is kinda cool.

Great idea about a registry of limiteds!

  4. How could anyone be disappointed other than to NOT have a copy of their very own?
(RE: Drifting: I agree, having to read another Hemmingway book and listen to Rush is far from anything I’d want to ever do again.)

    Stay schwoopy,
